is a series of honest, reflective conversations with artists and creative thinkers about the lessons learned the hard way — the practical, emotional, and energetic realities of sustaining a long creative life. Each 30–40 minute episode invites guests to speak candidly about what has grounded them, what they’ve discovered through experience, and how they continue to make work and meaning over time.

In addition to interviews, the series features and advice column video series hosted by Mary Simpson, mini art history segments contributed by a variety of artists and short documentary explainers on consignments, contracts, archival storage, and other behind-the-scenes aspects of making and maintaining art. Together, these conversations and mini-documentaries form a living resource for artists navigating the complexities of creative life.
